Is Frontrunners right for my running level?

Frontrunners Toronto is a social running club, and no runner is ever left behind. Our regular routes are approximately 5K or longer, and we run together as a group rather than as a coached learn-to-run program.

You don't need to be fast, and walking or taking short breaks during the run is absolutely okay. However, we ask that you be comfortable completing a 5K route at a social run/walk pace before joining a regular group run.   This averages out to be around a 6:30-7min/km pace with 3 shorts breaks along the 5K route.

If you're currently finding it difficult to cover even a couple of kilometres, our regular runs may be a little too challenging right now. We encourage you to build up your distance at your own pace and come join us when you're comfortable completing the full route.

Our goal is to make our runs welcoming and inclusive while ensuring that everyone can enjoy the experience together.

Do I need to register before joining the runs?

Absolutely NOT!

Come check us out at any of our scheduled regular runs and see if the group is a good fit for you.  If you are looking to a post-run social, we'd recommend showing up for one our Thursday evening or Saturday morning runs, as we either do drinks or coffee afterwards close to our meeting location.

Of course, if you do end up enjoying running with Frontrunners Toronto, we do encourage you to sign up as a member.  A yearly membership (ending at the end of each calendar year) is only $30!  That is only $2.50/month!   All money collected is reinvested back into the group throughout the year.
