Races

What better way to put your training to the test than to take part in the many road races our city has to offer? Members of Frontrunners Toronto participate in numerous road races each season alongside professional runners and participants of varying running abilities - don’t worry, you are not competing against other people… just yourself! And don’t feel intimidated - we offer training programs to help you reach your goal, whether you are attempting your first 5k or your first marathon. Come run with our team or volunteer with us at an aid station. Remember, if you’re not running, you’re cheering! Below is a list of road races our team regularly participates in:

 

  • Around the Bay 30k (the oldest road race in North America!)

  • Spring Runoff 5k or 8k at High Park

  • Sporting Life 10k

  • Toronto Waterfront 10k

  • Pride & Remembrance 5k run / 3k walk

  • Sunset Shuffle 6k at the Toronto Islands

  • Super Power 5k or 10k at the Toronto Islands

  • Oasis ZooRun 5k, 10k, or 15k at the Toronto Zoo

  • Michelob Ultra Night Run 5k or 10k

  • Toronto Women’s Run Series (5k, 8k, 10k or 21.1k)

  • Toronto Marathon (5k, 10k, 21.1k or 42.2k)

  • TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon (5k, 21.1k or 42.2k)

Fun Runs

Throughout the year we take advantage of some special occasions and do some special runs for them, here are some of the ones we usually do! They are open to everyone and free to join. Dates and routes for these fun runs will be announced as we approach these days. We invite you to submit ideas for other fun runs!

  • St. Paddy’s Day Run

    • Come dressed in green and join us for a beer afterwards!  

  • Pride Remix Run

    • The various queer running groups in Toronto come together and run the streets of the city with pride in celebration of Pride Month

  • Halloween Run

    • Be fabulous in costumes while strutting your stuff! Prizes to be won for best costumes!

  • Reindeer Run

    • Dashing through the wintry streets with boughs of holly, don our gay apparel with Christmas cheer

  • Winter night Christmas Distillery Run

    • We take advantage of the yearly holiday market and the surrounding market neighbourhood. We hang out at the market for a warm drink after the run.
